*** I've been looking again for myself. Which will the talent I choose? Which one do I have? By picking, and touching, and thinking again, Till only thought that I should, Or even I must, or rather - compelled, Did not leave the room for the next Circle of doubts that I can't.

You are old things in my room i need

to throw out

you are fading photographs and a 

time i could have stayed in         forever 

if it weren’t for the broken

baby           in my chest

and the fear

     that i was never really there

                                              to you, walking down Cuba Street

   after midnight, wondering who we 

were did you ever really listen

                                 when i said the way your

        eyes held all my secrets 

                         made me forget the pain

forget my name

you have no right to ever hold

my shaking hands 

                                 again.

daddy

you are my oak tree, the rock at the base of the oak tree and the river the flows beneath it

your generous shade keeps me cool when the sun berates me

you are thirsty but you ask for no water

instead you offer me hydration

you grow tall, but i see you beginning to wilt due to my negligence 

let me help you stay alive, you have to tell me

i'll die in the sweltering heat without our branches to protect me
