We went back in time today in Art Class... to Medieval Times! 🏰 . I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to London twice in my life. These photos are from my trip in November 2018. Choosing 10 favorite images was tough! (Though, my classes saw about 90!) . Hampton Court, home of Henry VIII & Jane Seymour [briefly Anne Boelyn-- but what we know her fate.] . Today, my students had an awakening-- a time with no electricity, no plumbing, no electronics and definitely no wifi! WHAT? That's right, no wifi, guys. 😳 . The reactions to the photos were mixed... but ultimately it was a success. I even had requests to show them more photos! . One of my favorite comments... Organization is everything when you have a FULL classroom... here's the latest-- #1... I FINALLY figured out a way to keep classwork differentiated on the dry rack. Each class is assigned a color: Red=1st, Orange=3rd, Yellow=4th, Green=5th, Blue=6th [My planning is 2nd period.] NO NAMES still happen, but at least I can put it in the correct class drawer when taking work of the rack! Students have color coordinating pocket folders/portfolios as well. Those are stored inside the tables. #2... I had to do a little creative rearranging to setup an area for the Clay Unit.
