SMOLDERING S’MORES COCKTAIL

Ingredients:

1.5oz Vodka

1oz Kahlua

.5oz Licor 43

Stir for 30 Seconds

Strain into glass.

Top with *marshmallow cream

(*4oz Whipping Cream 1oz Simple Syrup .25oz Vanilla Extract

Combine into shaker tin. Add marble sized cube. Shake until cube melts.

Check consistency before serving)

Love Redefined

In the spirit of February, let’s talk about that special four-letter word. For years the word, love rushed from my lips into casual conversations. Once my mom asked me to stop and think for a moment, what does love truly mean? I began spewing off examples and descriptions of what it feels like to be in love, none of which match the dictionary definition, “an intense feeling of deep affection.” The challenge is that we often feel that way about so many aspects of life; toward both living and inanimate objects. How can we apply this in the context of a relationship with another human?

Just take a moment to Google search love. The Internet is filled with millions of quotes, stories and explanations. For such a meaningful four-letter word, it’s extremely difficult to devise a simple explanation.

My mom’s next statement, “consider this…love is how you feel about yourself when you are with another person.” That concept absolutely floored me. Different people bring out specific sides of ourselves and if we are lucky, it is a side that we appreciate more when we are with someone rather than without them. Think about all of the people you love in your life. What kind of person are you when you spend time together? Do you contribute to them in a positive way? This definition helped me determine who to spend more of my time with. More so, who to celebrate Valentines Day with…

Valentine’s day, though infamous for romantic relationships, is truly about love altogether. Take some time to think about what love means to you, and go share it with the incredible people in your lives. Amor is the root of who we are; it inspires us every single day. Spread joy, share love, and indulge in the sweetest moments of life!
