I might not know much about witches castle lore but I absolutely love the idea of these three travelling earthbread together

I have no fucking idea why but I absolutely adore the idea that Dark choco is part dragon/ has draconic powers. Or just dragon dark choco in general.

How could it happen? Not exactly sure how, but sometimes along the lines of The twin dragons ( and maybe also the soul jams) power seeped into little dark choco's new baked dough and has been evolving even since.

You know what?

I have free will!

I'm going to explain my thought process/ story behind this meme I made

Basically, a little after Dark choco fully understood his powers, he looked at Fire spirit and thought:

"I want fire powers "

And spent a good amount of time following him around

The image is basically Dark choco coming up to the legendary cookie, after mastering the flames, and showing off

While Fire spirit, who has no idea about the other cookies powers, is just looking at them confused questioning how a "normal" cookie can use his power.

Fire spirit is left in to blue for a long time.

Figured out draconic Dark choco cookie powers for my choco trio au!

It's official that he became draconic because the twin dragons power seeped into his newly baked dough. And that his power was so weak at first that no one noticed.

So how did his powers evolve? By gaining/ learning other powers.

How?

Well, remember how the black and white dragon gained knowledge/power by eating things?

Well Dark choco's powers evolve in a similar fashion. Rather than eating, he needs to be exposed long enough to the power so he can replicate/gain it.

He doesn't steal all the power, rather a small portion when he is exposed until he was familiar with/owned it . Think of a plant that gains nutrients via sunlight, but this plant does "steal" energy, but it's so little that it goes unnoticed and has no repercussions.

However he can't use it perfectly right away, he needs to practice and understand it.

For example, one of Dark choco's abilities is that he can taunt others with memories. Origin: Pomegranate cookie's spells. He learned to control it by remembering this that Pomegranate would say/do and going to her village to learn more.

Choco trío au

Wanted to make this a comic but I don't have time so here is a short fic, so enjoy.

Late night interaction between First choco and Chocolate bark

Tw: self harm, it's not much

It is here now

Under the light of the full moon,on the border of a forest, lays a small campsite. Three tents surround a pile of sticks that were once a fire.

On a rock, with his back turned on the campsite, sat the dragon hunter. He is shaking, sweating and his breathing is uneven. His eye is wide open, looking around frantically.

He moves a hand as if to hug himself, but upon making contact with white scales, it stops.

His cookie hand moves further up his shoulder until it reaches the clear union between dough and scales. There, he starts to claw his dough, digging his nails deep drawing jam. He claws even harder with each drop he bleeds.

His intentions are clear, get rid of the draconic arm.

He keeps clawing, deepening the wound.

"Don't" A slap accompanied by a stern voice snaps him out of it.

As he looks up he meets the hard gaze of the taller cookie. His fellow warrior- physically a cookie, yet her soul is that of a witch- holds his jam covered hand, pulling it away from the wound.

His expression changes to something more cheery, giving her a big smile and opening his mouth to speak.

"No" He is cut off before he can even make a sound "You're not going to joke and brush this off." She hands him a mug filled with cold water before kneeling behind him.

The dragon hunter looks at her over his shoulder confused. His confusion quickly answered when the warrior witch pulled out her first aid kit.

She starts treating his wound, dabbing cotton, applying some cream or oilments, and bandaging it. While she works, he focuses on drinking the water that she had provided him.

They sat in silence, the sounds of rustling leaves and nocturnal critters speaking for them.

Once she finished, the warrior witch tidys up her things and goes to leave them in her tent and returns quickly.

The once human cookie sat down on the warriors right, placing her hand on white scales.

She gently stokes the draconic arm. He fixes his eye on it, giving it a not so found look."I know you don't like it and that it's quite hard for you, but that doesn't mean you can hurt yourself"

" I know. I promise I try to accept it, but..." He hardens his gaze on the scale.

"Forcing yourself to accept it can be just as as rejecting it" he meets her eyes, soft rubys stare back. "The best you can do is learn how to live with it"

The once human hand moves to hold the white claw.

" I mean, considering what you do, you can use it to your advantage" She gives him a small, soft smile " A dragon hunter fighting dragons with their own scales."

The witch's statement makes the dragon hunter visibly more comfortable.

"Yeah" His clawed hand squizes the once flesh one. " I guess you're right"

Notes

This is the first fic I post, so any criticism and advice is welcomed

I'm sorry for any mischaracterisation

I tried a different writing style for this fic, it's more descriptive, usually I used a more subjective? style ( as in explaining what a character is thinking and feeling)

Also English isn't my first language and spelling is my worst enemy

Extra facts:

• Dark choco was steeping in his tent

• First choco's first aid kit was a gift form the other witches given to her before she left the castle for earthbread.
