Indulge in the chewy goodness of butterscotch chip cookies that encase a hidden chocolate surprise inside. These cookies are a perfect blend of rich flavors and contrasting textures.
Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 cup packed brown sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 3 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 2 cups butterscotch chips. 1 cup chocolate chips. 24 small chocolate squares for the surprise.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on baking sheets. Melt the butter and mix it with the white sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Adding the eggs one at a time and mixing them in is the next step. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a different bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined. The chocolate and butterscotch chips should be mixed into the dough until they are spread out evenly. Take about a tablespoon of cookie dough and press it down a little. In the middle, put a small square of chocolate. Then, fold the dough around it to make a ball. Do it again with the rest of the chocolate squares and dough. Place the cookie dough balls on the baking sheets that have been prepared, leaving enough space between them so that they can spread. Put it in an oven that is already hot and bake it for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the middle is still soft. After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before moving them to wire racks to cool all the way. When these butterscotch chip cookies are cool, you can enjoy them because they are chewy and have a fun chocolate surprise inside.
