‘I have to say, I'm enjoying DLS more than I thought I would. I did kind of expect it to be a weird blend of smutty horniness and gossipy murder mystery that didn't really do much that's new, and while that is true to an extent, so far it is standing out quite a bit from the standard modern Choices smut. Most modern Choices smuts like TNA and TBB are way too melodramatic; expecting me to take them way too seriously and buy their purely lust-based relationships as genuine romance, and forcing high stakes and emotional depth where there is none. But DLS on the other hand, I feel like it kind of knows what it is a little more and it leans into that campiness a bit, kind of like how a lot of older Choices stories have done. So it's definitely a breath of fresh air in that regard.’
