Welcome to the fifth annual Choices Spread Kindness Celebration! This event begins on Social Media Kindness Day (November 9) and "ends" on World Kindness Day (November 13). But, just like in past years, there will be a bonus day (November 14) for you to celebrate you!
The goal of the event is simple: spread kindness in the fandom, but this year I want it to go further, our fandom is getting smaller day by day. Every single person in this fandom is important and matters. I hope that we can turn out this year to embrace who is still here and celebrate all our fandom still has. You matter and I hope you will encourage others.
Without you, this event can't be all that it can be, but with you, with just a little participation each day, we can bring encouragement, support, and joy to our little corner of tumblr.
No one asked for anything to be added, removed, or changed so the days are similar to the past years.

November 13: Fandom Love Day (Secret Admirer Day)
This is sort of like secret Santa but just for kind messages. You do not need to create, buy, or gift anyone anything. This is open to anyone in the fandom (creator, reader, supporter, anyone!)
All that is required is that you write the person you’ve been assigned a kind, encouraging, supportive message for November 13th. It can be generic, but I do encourage you to take a few minutes to look over the person's blog and see if you can give them a compliment specific to them that might be more meaningful.
To participate, message me here (@choicesfandomappreciation) or @lovealexhunt and let me know you want to join by November 4th. *If there is someone you absolutely cannot be paired with please let me know that too, no judgement and it will be kept private.
On November 5th, I will randomize everyone who is interested in participating and send you one person’s name. On November 13th, send your message to this blog anonymously (@choicesfandomappreciation ).

When we did this year's Choices Spread Kindness celebration, I was in the midst of a depressive episode, so I couldn't drum up the energy to give a shout-out to everyone I wanted to. So I want to do a general appreciation post now, an hour away from the last day of the year, to thank you all for making this Tumblr experience brighter for me.

I've said the Choices fandom was great for me in stepping outside my comfort zone, but of course there's still a long way to go. Social anxiety is still a bitch. But I want to keep moving forward. @lilyoffandoms: I know Lily left our fandom a couple months ago, but they will forever be one of my favorite writers. Their fics always inspired and moved me. Their characters were so real and diverse. I knew that anytime they posted whether I knew the story/characters or not, I would fall in love with the characters and world they built. Reading Lily's work and their encouragement and love made me a better writer. I will never be able to say enough how important or special they are to my time here. Maiele and Daenarya's friendship like mine with Lily is one of my favorite parts of this fandom! I'm forever grateful for all the time we (and our characters) shared together!
@jerzwriter: You are an incredible writer. All of your pairings are so lovely, but you know T & C will forever be my favorite. They are the most charming, loving, and all around fun. Her and Max are always a lot of fun. I love their punny text exchanges and posts. The heart and love between them is truly beautiful. They are definitely one of my favorite pairings.
@rjschoicesstuff: I know I'm behind on reading your work, but I love your ID world. I still haven't read ID but your world is so real and canon to me that I don't even want to. I absolutely love your Ripley's Diaries series. I love seeing things from her perspective and seeing how she processes everything. The entries have so much heart and are so genuine.
