I know that for some of you little ones the idea of domestication is frightening. Perhaps you live in a hab ring with a strong independent community and haven't seen many florets, or maybe you've got it in your head that it's something to be afraid of.
The notice of intent to domesticate that you received through the mail slot of your door probably has your mind racing. Maybe you didn't perform as well as you thought during your wardship, or maybe you did but you simply aren't living a happy enough life for your affini friend's standards whose secretly had her eyes on you the whole time, watching.
She probably had a notice of claim put on your file from the day you met anyways. We affini tend to get attached quickly, and we have good eyes for when someone is lying to themself about living their best life or not needing to be taken care of.
All of it is for your own good sweetheart, independence just doesn't suit you. The best thing you can do right now is wait patiently for that knock on the door and open it willingly.
