Hoy teniamos el privlegio de veando este pelicula Choleando y hablando con el director Roberto de la Puente. Es una pelicula fantastica sobre la construcion de race y el comprension de race en Peru y dio un buen fundacion para la comprension de la compleja situacion que estamos estudiando en Peru.
Dos cosas principalmente que me tome desde nos conversacion era:
- Primero, debemos entender antes de que podemos ayudar; y solamente podemos ayudar un poco pero es muy importante que podemos, en la opinion de Roberto
- En total, la recepcion del documentario fue mas bueno y la mayoria personas conectadas a este emocionalmente

Today we had the privilege of watching this film Choleando and speaking with its director Roberto de la Puente. It’s a fantastic film about the construction and understanding of race in Peru and providing a really great foundation and starting point for understanding some of the complex situations that we will be studying in Peru.
Two main things that I took away from our discussion were:
- In order to help we first must understand; and, in his opinion, we can only help a little bit but any amount of help is important.
- Overall, the documentary was well recieved and most people found that they connected to it, not necessarily on an academic level, but on an emotional level and people could really identify with the scenarios presented.
There was so much more to the conversation and I left feeling slightly overwhelmed but mostly grateful.
