Warnings - Swearing, angry!Reader, mentions of death
"Really, Betty?!" Your voice sounded through the small Blue and Gold writing room. Your angry footsteps followed, making Betty Cooper turn around on her heels. Her face showed concern, seeing as you hardly got this angry. And it was very clear that you were angry, your face nearly turning red.
"Y/N what's going on-?" She began to ask, but you cut her off quickly.
"Oh, I think you know what the hell I'm talking about," You spoke, standing strongly in front of her, with your arms crossed and hip out. When Betty didn't say anything you rolled your eyes, continuing speaking. "Threatening to release the video of Cheryl's dad shooting Jason, are you a psychopath?!" You yelled.
Betty let out a sigh, rolling her eyes too and leaning on the desk behind her. You grew even angrier as you looked at her, unsure of how someone could even possibly be so horrible to another human.
"I'm trying to get my boyfriend's dad out of jail, Y/N." Betty sighed as if that reason was enough for you to be ok with what she did.
"I know you're trying to help Fp, Betty." You sighed, running your hands through your hair. You had known Fp since your birth, he was practically your father. "But this isn't ok."
"And why do you get to chose what's ok?" Betty quipped back. You looked at her with raised eyebrows, surprised. You knew she thought she was better than you, but you never thought she would act on the feeling. "I think you don't even care about Fp or the serpents. You only care about yourself."
"My gang members are everything to me," you stepped forward, with such a poisonous deminer Betty was surprised she wasn't dead yet. "And you know why I love them so much? Because they have a moral code- you don't fuck with one of your own."
You stepped again, to the point where you were so close to the blonde that you could feel her breathing. She was terrified, which you were happy about. "Cheryl is mine, so I suggest you don't fuck with her again."
"What is going on here?" Jughead's voice sounded through your anger. You turned around, seeing him walking into the room. You placed a smile on your face, not fearing the boy at all. Betty sighed as if Jughead would push you off of her.
"Nothing, I'm just giving your little girlfriend over here a warning." You said, with a sly expression. Jughead walked forward, clearly confused.
"About what?" He asked, looking at Betty- who you were sure looked guilty on so many levels.
"You don't blackmail a girl with the video of her brother's murder." You said, walking out before Jughead could question you further.
As you stepped out of the room your heels clicked against the floor, giving a dramatic vibe. Some of the kids littered in the hallways watched you, a smirk on your face.
____
"Hey, Cooper!" Once again your voice called for Betty's attention, only days later. The trail for FP Jones had just been finished, and you were delighted to hear that your father-figure wouldn't be staying in jail much longer. You also were delighted to hear that he would be able to move back in with you and Jughead since it had been hard living without him.
Betty was walking alone toward her mother's car, giving you the perfect chance to talk to her. She turned around, with her breath slightly hitched in fear.
"I want it, now." You commanded, putting your hand out. Betty seemed confused for a second before it became very clear what you were talking about. With hesitance she pulled out a small flash drive, putting it in your hand.
"Is this the last copy?" You asked, getting a nod from Betty. "I hope so, Betty Cooper." You wanted her with your eyes, not hesitate to walk away.
Your eyes searched the parking lot for a familiar redhead, you smiled once you spotted her. She was lurking near the edge of the parking lot, clearly trying to gather herself together.
"Cheryl," your voice was now quite softer than when you spoke with Betty. Cheryl looked around at you, giving you a small smile. As you approach her you to open your hand, showing her the flash drive. "I thought you might want to destroy this with me."
"Is that," Cheryl asked, your head nodding. Cheryl took in a deep breath and let out a sigh. You gave her a kind smile, grabbing loosely onto her hand.
"Come on, I'll show you my favorite cliff."
Cheryl showed you a very confused expression, but you only nodded, pulling her along.
___
"Y/N, what are we doing here?" Cheryl questioned, finally speaking. She had been being silent the whole car ride, probably contemplating life in her brain.
"Like I said, I thought you and I should destroy this together." You said, once again speaking of the flash drive. Cheryl nodded, but still confused, as you both stepped out of the car. Cheryl waked to your side, your hand wrapping in hers, eyes giving her a supporting glance.
The both of you walked forward a few feet, Cheryl letting out a gasp of awe. In front of her was a beautiful sunset, it looked so close Cheryl felt as if she could touch it. You pulled her to the edge of the cliff you drove her to, though making sure she had enough of a distance where it was still safe.
Cheryl looked down, recognizing the rapid waters of Sweet Water River. "I thought it only fitting that this would be where it met its end." You said, Cheryl, looking at you and nodding- showing she understood what you meant. This was the waters everyone thought Jason had drowned in, so this is where the truth should finally die.
"On three?" You proposed. Cheryl once again nodded. You shifted the flash drive into your right hand, which was wrapped in Cheryl's left, so you both held onto it.
"One," Cheryl started off the count off, as you moved the flash drive.
"Two," You continued, slowly the both of your arms raised up, so they were held over the roaring waters below.
"Three," Cheryl finished. Your hands opened, dropping down the awful tape. Cheryl let out a little gasp, her eyes watching as it broke into one million pieces- landing on a rock. A smile crawled onto your face, matched with Cheryl's.
Her body turned toward you, making eye contact. Your hands found their ways back into her's, energy soaring between the both of you.
"Thank you, Y/N." She said, with a sincere pattern.
"Don't mention it." You shrugged, simply happy you could help.
