Holy chopstick skills 3y/o #chopsticklessons (at Dalton Household)

hey, I feel really bad about posting that about genderswapped Ymir/Christa, and I'm really sorry. I can't stop thinking about it now. I'm straight, but I'm so used to people in my life and in some parts of fandom NOT being homophobic and dumb (or even just not disregarding lesbian pairings instead of gay ones) that I forgot for a minute how important pairings like this one can be. I stand completely corrected and embarrassed. I'm so sorry

there are so many that get defensive (or resort to homophobic actions) when called out on something they did. I’m glad you understand and are aware enough to be mature about it. that’s actually rather rare on here. (last time I pointed this sort of thing out to someone they got COMPLETELY bent out of shape, all kinds of pissed off and upset that I called them homophobic, and ranted about it for hours when all I actually said was “I wonder why so many people lately are questioning lesbian ships but not gay ones”)

don’t be embarrassed. everyone makes mistakes. it’s how you handle them that matters =)

1. If you could travel to any time or moment of your life, what would you tell your past/future self?

Oh, this is a good question! You know, it's one of those things I think about a lot, but when I get put on the spot... I dunno. I'd probably go back to when I was about 9, when I first started getting bullied. I would tell myself that the strongest steel is forged in fire, and not to ever blindly let anybody else dictate what I'm supposed to think. I would also tell myself to not rein in my anger or my violent tendencies, not to worry about the consequences - the solar plexus is a bundle of nerve endings, and to punch properly you should keep your thumb tucked outside your fist and your knuckles taut.

That was rather personal, well...

2. If you could turn into anything for a day what would you turn into?

If it has to be something that currently exists, I would say a wolf. But a Baryonx would be cool - or better yet, a dragon.

3. Fave pokemon?

Charizard. No contest.

4. How would you describe your voice?

I would like to think it is perhaps rich and melodic, with a twist of wry amusement, like a Hendricks gin and tonic - but it's probably nothing like that

5. WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME?

6. What show/movie/fandom are you into at the minute?

Erm, mainly Avatar/Korra, Doctor Who and Star Trek, but I will always be a Potterhead, too

So many choices! It's a toss up between Karigan G'ladheon from Green Rider, Kathryn Janeway, and Jane Roland from Temeraire. However, if I had a significant other, I would love to do a couples cosplay of the Painted Lady and Blue Spirit from A:TLA

9. Doges or kitties?

Doges! I have three Labradors, so definitely dogs, though I don't mind cats

10. COKE OR PEPSI?

You know, I'm not really a fan of either (way prefer ginger ale), but I grew up with coke, so coke, I suppose.

7) what’s your idea of a perfect way to spend a day?

Oh I have lots of perfect ways to spend days, you see, I think perfection comes a lot of different ways with all of the infinite possibility of the universe, there has to be more than one perfect way to do things, right? I'd love a lazy day in bed with a lover, snuggling under warm covers and reading and drinking hot cocoa and kissing. Or sitting in a bookstore reading through all of the fantasy section and making friends with the people that work there. Or seeing a play at the globe and crying because it was beautifully done shakespeare. Or going somewhere and helping out in a foreign country. You can change a lot in a day, so carpe diem right?

8) favorite comfort food?

Id have to say chocolate chip cookies

9) where’s the place you most want to visit?

London, Paris, and Ireland. Ive already checked off Italy and Greece, and am checking China off this summer!

10) if you could meet any fictional character and spend 24 hours with them but never see them again, who would you meet?

Hermione I think. Hermione Granger taught me so much about me, and how I was okay. I could be smart and still worth it, and that it could be amazing to have confidence and strength and courage and still be a girl. She sort of helped make me.
