It's a good book that I firmly believe everyone who wants to be actively anti-racist should read!!!
It's important to actively push back and speak up when we see shit like whitewashing, and other various forms of fandom racism(and racism in general) because it's far too normalized and has created a space where people are comfortable saying and doing bigoted shit. And speaking up and pushing back is something I've been trying to actively work on.
If you want more books for your reading list I'd go here! @creatingblackcharacters has done a lot of really fantastic hard work to both create and find resources for people who are willing to do the work.
