As we have already seen from a multitude of cases, Sakamoto's discography is a treasure throve of eclecticism, where you can find any style. For instance, check A Day In New York, Sakamoto's collaboration with Jacques and Paula Morelenbaum, to hear Japanese master tackle bossa nova. No surprise to notice he manages to equip himself well within another genre. Then again, Morelenbaums worked with Antonio Carlos Jobim, the genius of the brand, though Sakamoto doesn't coast on their accomplishments, he's an equal partner in the group. Their version of the idiom Jobim put into the stratosphere reach the level of their idol with Sakamoto showing yet again why he remains one of the most intriguing modern musicians – he doesn't fear any challenge.
