I might be more inclined to play TLOU2 when I've moved out of the parents' house so that I can play it all alone. Though the new creepy enemies will most likely make me scream like a little girl lol. Funny thing is, I had a pretty golden period when I could make a fic a week but now I'm just spouting neat ideas but can't find the focus to sit down and write it? I'm not sure how I'm going to get around it more effectively except to chip at it slowly--to just sit down sometimes and write (...)
(...) little by little. It's not the most efficient, but it's better than forcing myself to sit down and arguing with myself to write for hours like I did before. And yeah, I can relate with the the sleep thing. I can't seem to sleep anytime earlier than... maybe 3AM. If I'm not asleep by then (yeah... I have a fucked up sleep schedule too), I'll get up and tire myself out with house chores or gaming. I should probably try to adjust it but... eh. - Ruffles anon
Totally understandable. Before I moved out, I couldn’t play video games much cause I had to be on alert of my dad and other family members. When you get your own place, you’re gonna enjoy the peace of mind that comes with it. Bills and everything else sucks, but having your own space can truly make a hell of a difference for so many things. I wish you luck and hope you can achieve that soon.
Holy shit, a fic a week?! Damn. That’s impressive! I’m not an expert, but you could be going through a creative block or you just need the right zap to get you started. After my grandma died, it was hard to motivate myself to keep writing but the thing that got me back into it was remembering the personal joy I got out of it. A rule of thumb I go by: if its a story you want to see as an audience member, but no one’s told it, it’s gonna be a blast. I know it can feel daunting to churn out content, especially if you get readers or what have you, but your hearts gotta be in the story or it’s gonna feel like a chore. It’ll come to you when you’re ready hon. Don’t pressure yourself.
I wish I had some wisdom for you on the sleep thing, but alas I’m pretty fucked there myself lol. I know for me, indica (marijuana strand--it’s legal where I live) helps my pain and helps me rest easier, but it costs a lot to get a little 10 pack of gummies. Melatonin is another I use, might be worth looking into if you haven’t tried it yet but I haven’t found the right thing yet for me.
