Bit of a long post here, forgive me, but does anyone else think about what would've happened if Kimball died in place of Doyle in s13?
While Doyle was the leader of the Feds for a long time, Kimball was the one everyone listened to when it came to combat and motivation. There's no way things would run smoothly without her.
What would've happened to the Rebels, who have watched their leaders die over and over again? What about Felix, who was conning Kimball all these years; would he feel guilt, even just a little?
What would happen to Tucker? The person who he looked up to, bonded with in his literal worst moments and pushed him to be better, who taught him what it meant to lead; dead for her country like all the rest of the Rebel leaders. And once again, it happened at the hands of Locus and Felix.
Just... Kimball having such dire survivor guilt that she thinks the only way to do something meaningful is to die while doing it.
