I'm SUPER happy with this OMG!!! Probably the best "anatomy" (idk anatomy, I just draw what I think a human body looks like) I've drawn yet. Especially considering the criss cross apple sauce pose. I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to get it right but it looks good actually!! The hair is also pretty good, overall I'm really proud of this one!

This is almost DEFINITELY not canon but it's cool AF so I'm posting it anyway ·:3

This was my first time designing a monster like this, I think it went well ·:D

I'm iffy on the color, I don't think the way I do colors lends itself well to this kind of design. However I don't think it could matter any less to me, I'm just so happy with this thing!! The eyes are one thing I really like! The pitch black eyes give me wild animal vibes which is perfect. I did decide to give the tail ones the cross pupil things so it was clear they're actually eyes and not just black shapes, I think it works :)

So many cerata omg, noodly boi. Didn't expect to like this oc so much but I can't get enough of Chos!!

I made a character :D

It's a sona for the Divine Mortals AU. I'm not a bishop or anything, I'm just here. I'm a funky little duder ·:3

This was one of my first ventures into the realm of character design, I'm pretty happy with it

I'll just explain it under a cut, Imma yap for a bit

The animal I picked was the blue RED sea dragon, or glaucus atlanticus as I first heard of it

These puppies are pretty cool if I do say so myself. They're a type of sea slug (already a good start) and can EAT the nematocysts (stinging cells) from stuff like jellyfish and use it as their own through their cool little finger things... I can eat poisonous and/or venomous stuff to GROW STRONGER!!

The eyes were the one thing I knew I wanted from the get go. If you couldn't tell from my pfp, I like biblically accurate angels, they're cool. Also I made a joke that I had a bunch of eyes and decided it was canon lmao. I tried not to go overboard with it, there's only the eight you can see here, and decided not to put eyes all over the body. There's only eyes in places that would benefit an animal, front, back, and the tail to make up for the blind spots

The spiky things on the head are cerata! The little wiggly finger things in the pic. I can use them to show emotions, up for happy, down for unhappy, wiggly for various things

Oh! And the red mask shape is a reference to my discord pfp AND my old "brand". I mean, I still use it so maybe it's not old but whatever

I'll just list off some other stuff: Young adult, quite tall despite little guy energy (6'5). ABSOLUTELY a little gremlin, I'm in chaos cult after all. Scatter brained af, can't keep a train of thought. Basically, he is me, I am him, we are one

Uuuuh... Lore wise I don't have much. Only concrete thing is that one day I just said "forget this" and clawed my way out of the ocean evolution style. Maybe I'll draw that

Anyway, that's it. Idk how often I'll post him or how long it'll be before then. I still got a bunch of Brear stuff to draw... And write... I'm gonna finish that story if it's the last thing I do!!

As always, here's some variants

I love this one! Probably my favorite Chos drawing yet! The poses feel really good, they feel fluid and dynamic, I'm so happy with it! I feel weird talking myself up this much but genuinely I think these are the best poses I've drawn so far.

Also! Background! It's not much but I think it gets the point across pretty well. The way I like to draw doesn't lend all that well to detailed backgrounds, not to mention I'm not very good at it yet. I do plan to practice them and have an idea for a drawing with a full background so that might happen soon, we'll see.

Another thing I want to point out is his feet in the leftmost pose. I had the idea that, as an aquatic animal, his feet could kind of fold in to be more aerodynamic (or hydrodynamic I guess). It's so fun figuring out what he can and can't do as a sea slug. For example, I recently found out that the blue glaucus can regenerate. Also upon further inspection, I technically got the coloring on him wrong. The actual animal has the coloring on their stomach and white/grey on their backs. I got that mixed up because they float upside down all the time. Not changing Chos though, he's perfect the way he is :)

Not sure if that's how I want the venom thing to work. I think it'll be a voluntary thing. I think I'll have it where I can choose to use it on my hands but with the cerata it's just always there. But for the purpose of this joke it can be done by accident!

This is also the first one where I figured out what Chos wears! Popular demand said I should give him clothes but with the arm web things I can't really use a shirt so just pants and a cape will do!

Baby Chos ·:D

God, I love this character! I was a menace from day one! Irl and in character!

Looked up what a baby blue sea dragon was and got this (this is not what they look like, it's a different species of sea slug, but still, CUTE AF) and HAD to make baby Chos! I didn't really use this image as reference but it drilled the idea into my brain so I had to.

If it's not obvious I'm clearing out a backlog of art I've been building up for the past week or so. This will probably happen every once in awhile.
