Damn it I wish we could have actually seen Choujiro in proper action! So much wasted potential now after reading this chapter, I would have liked him so much more if he showed that personality and even some fighting skills hinted in this chapter (like maybe a proper shikai use).

That said I never expected we'd see a young Yamamoto and Choujiro. Interestingly, I really like younger Choujiro's design almost instantly and the personality he showed in this chapter, like not getting depressed about how Yamamoto called his bankai like a child's was really nice to see. He instantly agrees and works hard to improve it! I really wish elements of this and even his training would have showed up in panels but alas, at least we do get to see his bankai so that's a bit of closure.

Suddenly this is one of the best Captain/VC relationships from the cast, really such a shame present Choujiro didn't have much presence. That said, awesome revenge Yamamoto.

Lastly, I would have loved to see more of their personality quirks of how Yamamoto is traditional Japanese while Choujiro enjoys Western culture.
