Working on doing some character sketches for NaNo Prep. This is original content.

Suoh looked down at the gulf between the higher tier and the lower tier. It was easily a thousand foot drop. the Skyscrapers threw everything below into shadow as deep as the trenches of the ocean. He glanced back up at Songmin and saw the slow smile growing on his face.
“This seems foolish,” Suoh finally said. He felt he had to state the obvious here. “We have no idea what’s down there.”
Songmin looked over again. “We haven’t seen any signs of hostiles down there in decades. That’s what our handlers have said. Do you not trust our wise and all-knowing handlers?” “I know you are using sarcasm. It doesn’t make me feel better.” Suoh said. He watched as Songmin ran a hand through his light blue hair, the dye just beginning to fade. “We should be careful so close to our next comeback.”
“We’ve made the transition now, Suoh. We’re practically immortal. We might as well break these new bodies in.” Songmin said, and did a practiced spin before falling backwards into the abyss.
Suoh couldn’t stop the awkward squawk that escaped his lips as Songmin tumbled.
“Don’t leave me hanging!” came the disembodied voice of Songmin.
Suoh sighed, pulling his hair up out of his face and into a loose bun at the nape of his neck, and took a running dive off the side. Hopefully they’d land on something soft on the way down.
