chozo ghost
prime 1 was my very first metroid game and i was absolutely awestruck by it. I think the most memorable moment was when I first saw the chozo ghosts and I was super freaked out because I wasn't expecting GHOSTS of all things in a sci fi game ( I remember i barely survived them and I didn't save in a while so it was a pretty clutch moment), I think those ghosts really got me curious about the series, it made me want to know more about it, anyways that's it btw happy birthday!!
Oh same to all of that, Prime 1 took me aback when I played it the first time. I can’t even pinpoint what made me fall in love with it, there’s just so much and it’s such a good game experience. And I love when sci-fi things use typical “fantasy” creatures and aspects, modified to a typical sci-fi environment- like Ridley being a dragon too, I guess, but in the case of the ghosts it really adds to the mysticism of the Chozo! (And they’re absolutely terrifying, the way they darken the room and then that music comes on, the noises they make... shudders)
That feel when your reaction to this song goes from “I am terrified” to “I am mildly inconvenienced.”
