Living my life without an audience
I guess this is somewhat also a confession. So where to start?Hello! Hi!How are you doing?
Well, my name is Christian, I used to run a Facebook page that was heavily inspired by many other “Facebook Bloggers” (Even though you can’t call them bloggers) and my page went under the name, Chrille.
So what did I do on my page? Well to start off with, I used to post a lot and I mean A LOT of pictures of myself. My style was inspired by the Korean Pop industry so you can kind of see that, that might have lead to a few people to find me attractive and therefor followed me on Facebook. Well, enough about all that. But once in a while, I would write these long posts on Facebook about how I was feeling and how I managed to get through different struggles in my daily life, and to be honest, it was quite enjoyable to see all the feedback I got. My page grew and so did I. I was no longer fascinated by the Korean Pop industry which lead my page to hit a wall. It was no longer about how my day was, it was more like a weekly rant on how I hated this and I hated that, and in the end, people started to leave, which was understandable. Anyway, I then came to terms with myself and decided to schedule a deletion date on Facebook (which mind you, takes 14 days before you can actually DELETE the page) and looked up all the old messages I’ve gotten throughout those two years I ran that page. And if there is one thing I’ve figured out, it is that no matter what, if you start to get popular, people will find a way to hate you, even if you haven’t done anything wrong. People will start to take a stance on whether or not you should be loved or hated, there is no middle. People will always criticize you for what you do and you know what? That is completely fine, but in the end, the hate goes to your head and you just want to say “FUCK IT!” and just leave. And so I did. I gave little to no explanation to why I left and that is why I am writing all this. So what is the point to all of this? Well, I am bad at using my words, but let me try. If you can live your life without an audience, then do so.
Everything doesn’t have to be about you or me for that matter, share your thoughts with those who matter and not with everyone like a cry into the void. I’ve decided to still be on social media and such, but chances are, Chrille is not coming back. I’ve outlived the whole “Look at me” kind of deal and I hope that some people can understand the decision that I’ve made and many others have made as well. Stay awesome. ~Christian
