Free Track of the Week: 'Doo-Wah' by Kids These Days

Despite being named after something your grumpy old man would say, the boys from Chicago have produced an absolute joyously upbeat and positive vibes in this delightful track.

The gentle piano rift eases you into the song before Macie Stewart's delicate vocals take control. All leading you into the ever-building rap by Vic Mensa taking you into their climatic chorus.

Free Track of the Day: 'Young (J£ZUS MILLION Remix)' by LULS

Finally another remixed track makes our Free Track of the Day and this time it is from one of our absolute favourite bands LULS. Now normally we association these guys with the massive sounds of Young and Swing Low but this remix has gone in a completely different direction.

Calm and melodic throughout; it is far more of the perfect autumn song to kick back and chill to rather than the kind of electronic anthems they've put out so far. We love when a band can mix up their sound and LULS have just gone and literally done that.

Free Track of the Day: 'I Still Follow You' by Frankie and the Heartstrings

A three minute burst of fun filled guitars means that the enigmatic Frankie and the Heartstrings are back in their wonderful business. This little taster off their upcoming LP has got all excited as well as bringing back memories of why we love their brand of music so much.

The boys from Sunderland will be hitting the road with The Cribs soon and we cannot wait to hear this fantastic bit of catchy guitar-pop live in action along with some wildly inappropriate dancing as well.

Free Track of the Day: 'First Love' by Shout Timber

Summing with wondrous indie-pop joy the highs and unbearable lows that we all have experienced of those first romantic encounters. In fact this song is so good it lifts and brightens the listeners mood despite reliving some our collective worst memories.

The four piece band, when not quoting the movie greats on their Facebook page, have also came out with this incredibly funny and yet heartbreaking video to go along with this top track and we are looking forward to hearing more from the guys.

Free Track of the Day: 'So Young' by Splashh

Fuzzy guitars galore in this marvellous free track from one of the best new bands out there at the moment from the poorly spelt Splashh. Its relentless pace and childish lyrics encapsulates that adolescent vibe that oozes from the band.

It's a song that we know our parents would yell at us for playing to loud as well as the kind of music we wish we could have made when we were hammering at our guitars and throwing on the distortion effects.

Track of the Day: 'Fall of '82' by The Shins covered by Ben Mason

Covers only tend to work well when the artist has tried to do something new and interesting with the track and that's what Ben Mason has done with this a capella version of the classic 'Fall of '82'.

Yet, you can't just go off the rails for off the rails sake. The music has to be good. Thankfully, the vocal harmonies on the track match the ambition in this cover but this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has had the joy of hearing Mason's previous work in this style.

Track of the Day: 'Everything I've Lost' by Secret Rivals

There's a moment of pure joy when you hear a band who sound like they've peered into your musical dreams and gone we can do that so much better than that and that's the kind of moment when you hear Secret Rivals. Boy/girl vocals, trashy and noisy guitars over indie disco drum beats and then throw in some synth just to make it even better. 

It's their first material to come of their soon to be released album, which came out on their website on September 24th. Once you've heard this track, we know you'll be wanting more!
