I talk too much about Christmas special and how much I hate it but another Christmas-themed episode that I really love was Chris Master. Look how cute these two are! Chat was so adorable here and it was a fun episode.
.....Do I have to? Lmao, listen I try to be as positive as I can be and I do truly love this show, but this episode unfortunately bores me so much lol. I’ve watched it all of two times and I still barely remember what actually happens. Either way, I’m going to try and look at it with open eyes this time around because I really want to have a good time lol
Also I know the wiki page has this episode listed as “Christmaster,” which I think is a better title lol, but Netlfix and the actual in episode title card says “Chris Master” so that’s what I’m going with. (Even though isn’t his name Noel in the French dub?? and I though the title cards were the same for all the dubs??)

OKAY so santa here mirrors Marinette’s explanation of why/when presents are given out word for word, which is what leads her to figure out that it is in fact Chris Lahiffe that’s been akumatized, which is what leads me to believe that these rules aren’t in fact true and the entire situation is just a part of Chris manipulating the world through his akumatized powers. which makes me wonder if this is in fact the real santa at all, or if is the real santa and he’s just suddenly believing these rules all of a sudden? (i guess there’s also the slight possibility that those actually ARE the rules and Marinette just happened to guess them perfectly?)
but anyway it’s interesting to think about since we do already know santa to be a real character in universe, so the logic here has always confused me a bit. is this real santa or a fake santa made from Chris’s interpretation?

Okay, I know Thomas Astruc has said that there are no filler episodes, and I usually wholeheartedly agree with that because even the seemingly unimportant episodes always give us some sort of development or new information, but with this one I’m really struggling to find anything? I guess Chris was introduced?? And we see him again coming up in Timetagger, so there’s that??
