Welp, here we are. It’s the last one. I don’t even know how I feel lol, I’ve been making these posts since November, that’s like three whole months now - but at the same time it doesn’t feel all that long at all? I will say though that committing myself to rewatching each episode in detail has definitely helped me during the hiatus so far lol, watch me slip into withdrawals over the next few weeks ha 😅

this thing with the song is almost like a code between them, and whats most interesting is that they both KNOW it’s like a code, ya know? Luka’s been talking forever about finding Marinette’s “perfect melody” and now he says again that he thinks he’s found it (after she initiates it this time by asking about it), but he counters by asking her if she wants to hear it, because she’s “still thinking about Adrien, right?” He’s basically just implied that the song is an offering of his feelings, and by accepting it she will have agreed to accept those feelings. (which tbh, should be really weird lmao) But the fact that Luka brings up Adrien directly as an issue with Marinette being able to listen to his song - and then Marinette bashfully looks to the side, means that they’re both on the same page about not just Marinette’s feelings towards Adrien, but what it would mean for Marinette to agree to hear Luka’s song. It’s a code so that they can talk openly about their feelings without it actually having to be out in the open. It’s a weird code lol, but one that they’ve both subconsciously agreed to use for whatever reason lol.
i do actually like though that Luka just straight up asks whats up with Marinette and Adrien lmao. like damn dude, just throw it out there i guess lol

after 26 episodes of this season we FINALLY see the return of the power-ups lmaoooo. Aqua-Tikki is BACK. (although they mention that they use the ice power-ups in Stormy 2, it’s just off screen)

my heeeeaaaart aaahh. this scene where Adrien is all confused bc Kagami loves him and he suddenly realizes he’s not there yet and he doesn’t know what to do bc it doesn’t feel the way he imagined it omg it makes me feel for him. my poor baby, he’s so young lol, i just wanna hug him and tell him it’s okay not to know lol
on the other hand, i think it’s good that Kagami straight up states that his indecision is hurting her. like yeah, totally sucks for Adrien to have to hear that, but it’s also good for him to know what she’s really thinking. Good for her to stand up for herself, and for him to learn that his actions/feelings really do have an affect on other people etc

(also I feel like this is one of the rare times we’ve ever heard ANY of the characters referred to as cute?? like it’s generally known that Adrien is cute bc he’s a model, but I feel like we rarely hear people actually say it?? except maybe when Marinette is quoting the perfume commercial? also possible that my memory is just failing rn lol, but generally the crushes etc in the show are about substance/personality rather than looks, so it feels rare to have a character comment on attractiveness)
i like how Hawkmoth is just like, calmly listening to Chloe as she roasts all of his son’s friends...
why is HM surprised that Nino didn’t take a Miraculous lol. Like Fu is literally on the roof hiding in his Shelter shield right this second. and he’s SEEN Carapace before lmao, common sense would dictate that obviously Nino can’t use the Turtle Miraculous if Fu is already using it.
all of them using that monotone voice to transform is somehow both funny and creepy lol
the more i look at Rena’s character design the more i get annoyed. her bust and waist are yikes, and then the eyes are especially jarring lol - why are they so far apart like that??

i will NEVER get over how successfully and intentionally misleading this shot is of Marinette and Adrien getting the Andre’s ice cream, only to pan back and have them sit on the COMPLETE OPPOSITE sides of their friends and sit with the other love interests. it’s SUCH good visual storytelling, like goddamn guys, all kids shows should put in this much effort. so simple and so effective
and here we are again. Marinette asks Luka about the song and he asks “are you sure you really wanna hear it?” the question of Adrien lingering unspoken, but not unheard between them. and this time she agrees easily - she’s already decided to move on, and this is us seeing her take those first few steps.

and the shot of all the couples?? love it - love that it implies that Julerose and Marcnath are canon too lol (although Max and Alix is still a bit odd to me lol, i’ll just hc that they’re the only two who are chillin platonically lmao)

Seriously, what a great season, and a great ending to it. EVERYTHING is gonna change next season, it’s like everything is left in this limbo and we don’t know exactly how it’s gonna play out. The Ladynoir dynamic will be different not just bc of Adrien and Kagami, but because LB is the Guardian now and that’ll have new responsibilities. And then HM has the working Peacock Miraculous, will he unify it with the Butterfly Miraculous?? And will Adrien and Marinette be more canonically friends?? God I hope so, I’ll DIE for platonic Adrinette. Dear god I hope we get at least the beginnings of a reverse love square crush, it’s set up so beautifully for us right now. Seriously, e v e r y t h i n g is set up to change and I can’t wait to see how it happens!!
