At last, two years later and she got that #1 spot for the gem that is #truthhurts I'm so happy! 2017 was a weird year for me, I was rethinking my life, running from the slightest glimmer of affection and trying to unwire from feelings I caught in a potential situationship. The latter was the toughest because it felt like I was going through withdrawal as I went from going out every weekend and getting on 50 calls and texts a day to my phone only vibrating for alarms and going to work then back home. Around this time I was working out like crazy to keep myself occupied cause you can't be calling things off then calling back 😅 during these sweat outs I'd have YouTube music blasting while the fitness instructor who was also on YouTube would yell at me for slowing down like he could see. I remember taking a break and hearing this weird distorted ice cream truck melody, my eyes eased onto the screen and there she was in all of her glory, Lizzo, sitting stoned face in wedding attire about to preach and sing one of the century's best empowerment anthem to me. The rest was history, I got abs and a toned physique listening to that song and eventually moved on...I guess music really does help us.
