At first light, the old fisherman believed he had found only a forgotten boat drifting with the tide. But nestled within it lay a sleeping mermaid, her shimmering tail catching the colors of the rising sun. Legends said that whoever protected a mermaid without asking for anything in return would be rewarded—not with riches, but with hope. As dawn broke, she opened her eyes, smiled, and slipped quietly back into the sea, leaving behind a reminder that even in the darkest moments, hope has a way of finding us.
