In 2012/2013 my good buddy @bobbypontillas and I started pitching short films @disneyanimation ! These beat boards were used to help illustrate our short #onesmallstep ! At the time we were playing with the idea of telling the short from the perspective of shoes...using her feet as a major story point. Thematically it was a little different too, we had the protagonist achieve a different dream than the one she set out for. Our main character would go through an injury that would enable her to walk, she’d become a teacher and help another achieve their dream and eventually she would learn to walk again, which redefined the title “One Small Step”. I had a blast developing this idea, the core story of a young lady watching the first moon walk in 1969 and growing up with dreams of shooting for the stars.
