I've been working on letting myself off the hook more. When I start to wonder if I'm doing this life thing right, I remind myself that it's really important to find a way to love the journey without mentally beating myself up in the process. If I can find a way to appreciate (and even enjoy) the transition, traveling from one destination to another, I'll arrive in one piece with a clearer mind and a more open heart. I'm not on a deadline to achieve anything by a certain date. The only rush is the one that is self-imposed. The only failure is the one that is self-imposed. What if I gave myself permission to remove the idea of failure and "not good enough" from my paradigm and instead use all experiences as an opportunity to learn how to be a better human: kinder, more compassionate, empathetic, and truly loving, to myself and others? That feels better. I'll go with that. #bekindtoyourself #selflove #selfcareseries #christelslessons (at Washington, District of Columbia)
