Looking through my pages from their conception to now is amazing. I was so concerned with trying to “make it big” with cosplay. That if I kept working out, making costumes, going to cons and meeting people (the right people), I would have thousands of followers and be able to make something of it. Even doing all of that, I saw several succeed while I stayed stagnant. Was I not conventionally beautiful enough? Did I not show enough skin? Did I not meet the right people, or not be in the right place at the right time? Were my costumes not good or relevant enough? It takes a long time to become at peace with where one is, and more strength to be okay with how things are going. Moving forward, I think I would like to phase out conventions and simply do charity work. I don’t see enough big names doing it, only the smaller ones. If I’m going to dedicate time and money to making costumes, then I want it to be put to good use and towards those who would benefit from it the most: kids and other people in need. For me, that is my “azareth metrion synthos”; my meditation. #dc #dccomics #cosplay #cosplayer #cosplaygirl #thatvegancosplayer #raven #ravencosplay #teentitans #teentitanscosplay #bingo #christmas #xmas #xmas2018 #christmas2018 #christmasnow #charity #charityevent #kidscancosplay #kids #kidscharity
