I think that in season 4 Keller wanted Beecher to do something for him to make amends, like in season 3 when Keller snitched, Beecher stabbed him but said nothing, and Keller stood by Beecher during the brawl to make it up to him.

However, Beecher completely missed his meaning, only kept apologizing and doing things that made Keller jealous.

Ronnie’s case, by contrast, accidentally became the apologies gift Keller wanted, I think that’s one reason they made up

I think both Keller and Beecher are guilty of greed

Beecher wants a literal “one husband and one wife,” so he has his girlfriend defend his boyfriend, enjoying the feeling of being loved by both at the same time. Showing off his girlfriend to his boyfriend, and his boyfriend to his girlfriend

Keller, on the other hand, went from having nothing, even on the verge of losing his life, to at least having his life, and once he had that, he wanted more. He wanted Beecher to stay by his side. Since he couldn’t get out of prison, he chose to drag Beecher back in. A forcibly picked melon may not be sweet, but you won’t know until you pick it and taste it. So he’d rather force it first and see what happens later
