Hungry Ghost Festival

Today is Hungry Ghost Festival in Buddhist traditions, so here is a lit of things you should avoid to stay safe from malicious spirits today.

But more than this, Hungry Ghost Festival is a day where we show filial piety to our ancestors and loved ones who have not reached enlightenment and still experience suffering in whatever form they reincarnated as, especially hungry ghosts.

Even if you're not Buddhist, I highly recommend commemorating your past loved ones today in whatever way you think they'd appreciate. Light a candle for them, pray for them, visit their grave, and do whatever you want.

I personally will be visiting the cemetery, lighting candles, and pulling tarot and oracle cards with my ancestors ❤️
