#hermaj @cjdownes http://hobartgraphicsfestival.tumblr.com/ The Shipwright and the Banshee is a performance by Chris Downes and Joshua Santospirito which involves Chris drawing huge pics live, whilst Josh performs the soundtrack to a chilling tale of colonial Tasmania. It will be performed at AN EXTRAORDINARY SEQUENCE OF EVENTS - at the Grand Poobah, Hobart - 2014 June the 7th, 8pm, $8. Along with three other performances, including The Last Days of the Mill, by Tony Thorne and Pete Hay, Kovacs and Bob OConnor and Captain Blueberry HERSELF!!! The first drawing is a screen-printed poster which can be bought at the festival - made by Chris Downes and printed by Nathaniel Jeanneret in Hobart in 2013. The second drawing was a sketch from the original version of the S&B way back in 2011 when it was first performed. It's second public outing was in January 2013 to a sold out crowd at MONA FOMA.
