I love having chronic illness bc like. Thank the gods I got a cane bc damn. Cleaned all my shit yesterday and turns out I pushed myself into a flare. Like. Can’t really move without aid flare. But all I can do is take my meds and eat and look hot bc I feel like shit but I can do my makeup sitting down and maybe you’ll think my cane is an outfit piece and not actually needed

Also had a lovely discussion with my coworker about feeling othered and ableism and how making a switch about one mindset (homophobia, racism, ableism) makes it a lot easier to say “well, I don’t fully understand your experience, but I respect you” so yk maybe it’s scary to use my aid but sometimes it comes with perks
