You were looking at yourself in the mirror, again. You avoid looking at yourself, that way, you don’t feel so bad. Do you always look like this? What do others think about you? What does he think about you? Are you sure he isn't playing with you? he is probably going to get bored and leave.
You started to question everything about yourself, are you enough? Are you at least intelligent? Do you have something that makes you interesting?
Tears streamed down. Hiccups were released. You didn't hear the steps coming.
CHROLLO entered into your place, he looked at you, you looked at him, making eye contact, he noticed your puffy eyes, he calmly decided to approach you.
What a timing, you splash your face with water and pat dry with a towel. “Sorry” you mumbled as if you had something to be sorry about.
He remained silent, thinking, while rubbing your back. He silently asked, “Do you want to talk about it?”
Your head was spinning, you were remembering everything you said to yourself, the people he went out with in order to steal their nen, or the people he worked with. They always look amazing, they have power, money, intelligence. Everything.
“Am I worth it? like, do I look good? Am I enough?” You sounded desperate.
He wondered what you were exactly questioning about yourself, was it your looks, or your intelligence? He decided to go for both.
“You are more than enough, I'm proud of what you have achieved” “There is no need to satisfy someone or society, you don't have to be a certain way to be amazing, or read books to be intelligent, everybody is different and unique” Chrollo always knows what to say.
He can't get rid of your insecurities, but if someone was messing up with you... He would like to have a talk with them. Despite that, he always makes you feel loved.
Pulling you up into a warm and comforting hug, strong arms embracing you. Rocking you to the sides, he peppered your face with little kisses, just to make you smile and to hear your giggles, Chrollo loves it. He looked at your eyes and stated:
“You are special, don’t forget that”
