B: Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?

Yeah!! The Songxiao + A-Qing fic about visiting the grave/shrine (Missed / 好多話無處可訴) is a very beat-by-beat portrayal of me visiting my grandmother’s shrine heheh. And ofc the plant shop fic (Cultivation No. 6 / 曇花二現) is all my work experience being poured into a gay chinese zombie romance.

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

lmfao i don’t feel guilty about any of the things i find pleasurable, i think

like, did I have to put that fourth plant metaphor in that sentence? No. But do I feel guilty about it? Nah.

T: Any fandom tropes you can't stand?

Oh dear lololololol. I mean y’all know i don’t do a/b/o anymore, and I’m not here for soulmates either (with few exceptions). What else don’t I like... Well okay, in my writing I think I try to stay away from tropes that are very common, but I absolutely thoroughly feast on those same tropes when it comes to what I read and consume LMAO.

C: What character do you identify with most?

but okay in that murder doors novel? the lil dramatic gay bitch who pretends he’s a different person every chance he gets to, just for shits and giggles? that guy.

H: How would you describe your style?

no but uh, narrativized...? i got this comment in a high school writing workshop and i still think about it to this day—that even when i’m just writing about one character, there reads like there are two characters, bc my narrative itself sounds characterized

favorite thing about him: yes

least favorite thing about him: anytime he’s in the same vicinity as Tashigi post timeskip

brOTP: I like to ship him w everyone so I don’t have too many but probably Sanji. They can’t stand each other lmao but as I want to explore in a future fic, they also probably couldn’t live without each other.

OTP: zoro/luffy, the one, the only, the seratonin machine baybeee

nOTP: him/any woman. I cannot see him as anything but 1-hundo-percent gay.

random headcanon: he picks scabs as a stim/dermatillomania thing. it’s gross. chopper tries to get him to stop. he won’t.

favorite thing about him: he’s just so... Genuine. He seems like a guy I’d love to sit and shoot the shit with for a night. I see a lot of myself in him and I love his no-bullshit attitude. he’s very emotionally open which is amazing to see for a character who’s such a ‘Lad’ otherwise. 

least favorite thing about him: his character rot starting series 7 where he just becomes curry obsessed and kind of dumb, and not in a fun way. 

favorite line:  “Lister to Red dwarf; We have in our midst a complete smeg-pot! Brains in the anal region. Chin absent, presumed missing. Genitalia small and inoffensive. Of no value or interest!” 

(also the followup to that where he eats a cigarette for literally no reason)

brOTP: Man it’s hard to choose, his relationship w Cat is adorable and the love/hate thing with Rimmer classic but probably him and Kryten. He’s spent so much time teaching him how to be ‘human’ and fixing him up when he gets broken and pretty much making him into the bot we know and love.

OTP: Lister/the first iteration of Kochanski, or Lister/that one plate of waffles he ate out of the garbage

nOTP: I don’t really care about shipping in this series in general so n/a. Lister/ the Polymorph lmao
