Across the spiderverse was an absolute dream come true for my synesthesia

I have sound to color synesthesia and i never realized it until after this movie but no other movie has ever felt complete until now?? Especially the opening scene with all the colors moving and flashing with all the sounds, it feels just like my synesthesia. I never knew how much i wanted a movie where the colors moved like they do in my brain its so cool!!

any other flags makers with sound to color synesthesia/chromesthesia have moments where you just can't ignore the colors your brain gives you when you say the word/term for whatever you're making the flag for? typically we ignore our synesthesia while making flags in favor of aesthetic and sometimes specific color symbolism, but sometimes it's also so strong we just cant imagine any other colors for the flag.

ATTENTION ALL SYNESTHETES!

The very awesome @no-trial-only-error is creating an art project, and would like input from all you lovely followers.

So, if you would like to participate, please REPLY to this post (or reblog with your answer in a post, not in the tags!) with the following information:

- Your strongest and/or favorite experience with synesthesia. This is directed at ALL types of synesthetes, and here are some specific examples:

If you see colors and/or patterns for music, describe your favorite song by describing those colors and/or patterns (or describe a song whose colors you particularly enjoy).

(And if you see colors/patterns for everyday sounds, you could describe the colors/patterns of your favorite sound!)

If you have grapheme-color synesthesia, describe the color(s) (or textures if you have those!) of a letter or number that you particularly enjoy.

If words have colors for you, you can describe the colors of your favorite word or any words you love.

And anything else! If other things evoke colors or patterns for you - scents, people, voices, concepts like the days of the week, etc - describe the colors or patterns of your favorite of those things! You simply need to provide a description of a strong experience that you have with your synesthesia.

And if you have any other type of synesthesia that you can describe, go for it! The more answers, the merrier, and even if colors or patterns are not what happens in your mind - any vivid description is useful. This is open to ALL synesthetes, so give us anything you've got.

- Secondly: if you feel comfortable doing so, provide a name (your own, or a nickname/alias, or anything you'd like to go by) and, again if you are comfortable, the general area where you live.

and just generally colored memories based on what was playing or the background noise
