[ LAST ]: believing it to be their last chance to confess their feelings for the receiver, the sender tells them that they love them. @ silver !!
it was only a matter of time before their game of cat and mouse had been put to an end, and silver had known that the prolonged periods she spent playing coy for both sides would lead to her demise at the hands of her guardian. she knew that they were going to take matters into their own hands, and silver was simply a powerful tool in getting what they want - for her to disappear would be meaningless to them. to everyone. maybe even nara. she watches from afar as her guardians infiltrate the palace, skillfully managing to get through every guard and hindrance and leaving each room covered in crimson. yet, it’s only when her guardian, the one who had desired the throne and status the most had their hand around nara’s throat, the sword so close to her skin that any second, it’ll be over for her, does silver finally step in. she uses everything in her to peel them off of nara, grunting as she’s put into possibly the most difficult fight she’s ever been put up against and refusing to answer all the questions thrown at her as she uses her own powers to fight back. why are you doing this ? since when did i raise you to be such a fool ? why are you protecting her ?
silver opens her mouth to speak, voice barely making its way out before the sudden slice that had shot right into her stomach causes her to fall to the ground. there’s no remorse on their face, no sadness, only disappointment as they watch the pitiful fight of someone so powerful having lost and walking away with the words - this is your fault. you wasted so much time. i’ll be back. as much as she wanted to muster up the strength to fight more, she’s practically glued to the ground. she raises a hand in an attempt at using her ability to hurt them, but it had failed. her powers were no more, and for the first time, silver finds herself tearing up. it really was over now.
but even as the pain starts to get worse and worse to the point of an unbearable burning feeling does she not regret a moment she’s spent with nara. the eye rolls that hid her smile, the warmth of her skin both in moments of her murderous attempts and shared intimacy, the way nara was the only person that could ever exist that she realized she just couldn’t kill, all of it. even if she had lost her powers, left to fend for herself, and even in death, she’ll never, ever regret her.
she sees nara’s face through her blurred vision, and she can tell that her time is now. silver still tries to smile and with a slow shaky hand, takes nara’s in her’s. “ i think.. you’re right. “ she huffs, voice cracking though she tries to chuckle. “ i think i do got a thing for you.. “ she wants to make this last moment of hers last. silver had never lead a fortunate life, always being used for other’s benefit, trained to kill, never to feel, this was inevitable and much expected that once she had started to feel herself that she would get punished for it. death is possibly the only way she can ever be honest with herself. “ you’ll... probably think this is bull, but -- i ... don’t want you to forget this. promise me that. “ her hand squeezes nara’s as she feels her last moments coming, whispering the one thing she never thought she would tell her. now, it's everything.
“ i .. love you. more than you'll ever know. “ her smile slowly disappears and her eyes close. “ ...be well, and take care, nara.. “
