My Mystery Dungeon OC's!!

I don't know if I've explained it here, but the whole reason I started making comics with Michael the Phanpy and Charlie the Skitty is because me and my irl best friend Michael got on call and I streamed pmd2 for him over discord throughout 2024. It was my favourite game as a child and I wanted him to experience the story so that he knew what I was talking about when I mentioned it (since it was inevitable I would go on a massive infodump at some point). We had one session when we got to the future of darkness where we spent like a full hour stuck in one cutscene, riffing off the scene and laughing so hard I was worried I was gonna wake everyone up in my house. It was at this point we realised we absolutely should have been recording our playthrough and I was sad all the little running gags and in jokes would just be confined to memory or even eventually forgotten (this happens a lot and we never learn from the previous time).

So I started making the comics. I can't entirely speak to whether or not Charlie's personality truly matches my own, but Michael the Phanpy really is just my best friend in a little blue elephant form. When people say they love my Phanpy oc, or think he's really funny or whatever I just light up with joy cus I'm here like YEAH! I AGREE! HE'S AWESOME! AND I GET TO HANG OUT WITH HIM ALL THE TIME, HOW LUCKY AM I!!

The next comic is a collab we made together, Michael is also an artist and very talented at that. His username is @jester_o_court pretty much everywhere but he's most active on twitter, youtube and bluesky. Check out his work if you like!

All this to say, thank you for the support on my PMD2 comics. If my 9 year old self could see that one day thousands of people would be reading mystery dungeon comics that I made, they'd be completely over the moon.
