Corvus never questions those that Feniks finds when he’s out scouting, but she has to admit, coming across this person has her asking questions, but never voices them. She’s also not the type to turn down potential. If Feniks sees something in him, then it’s up to her to see what that is.
“You’re new here?” She starts off by asking.
With a light bow of her head in greeting she then says, “my name is Corvus.” Again, AS awkward as ever with bringing up the job. Will it ever get easier?
“Do you have time to talk and answer a few questions?” Why does she sound like a police officer looking for a lead?

Annie was still on the fence about this whole being-transported-to-a-new-world thing. On one hand, it just felt right. It felt like she was some sort of prophetic chosen one, like from those epics schools made you read. She thrived off the sensation of feeling ✨special✨. On the other hand, she hated the unknown. On the other, other hand... all this cool stuff existed here that her home-world hadn't thought to invent yet! TELLY-vision, TELLY-phone, TELLY-marketing...
Teleshopping. She couldn't do that yet, which was a bit of a problem when it came to getting specific things she wanted but didn't know where to look to find. Like giant stuffed bears with heads much too small that SHE COULD NOT WIN at the amusement park's shooting gallery due to her mortifyingly bad aim.
So that's why she bought this tiny, plastic water-gun. For practice.
That's also why she stopped by this café, purchasing a slice of cake and TWO tall glasses of apple juice. One for herself, the other to pour into her watergun. There weren't too many targets customers at this odd hour, but the few that were around didn't look too impressive. If she needed to run, she was sure she could.
So after a big bite of cake (plus one more, for personal encouragement ♡) Annie begins her target practice. She points her apple-juice-filled water gun at the first person to open his mouth, and fires...
She gets him near the ear instead. Ah.
When they make eye-contact, Annie only has one thing to say:
"You turned your head. I was aiming for your mouth."
❝ what are you going as for halloween this year? ❞

Archer looks back at him, and then looks back at the store shelf, pulling out a costume at random.
“... how does this look to you?”

“Your mini fridge is in the room.” She doesn’t have to look Scarecrow’s way to know he’s entered the building. However, she does spare him a glance eventually and says, “It’s already stock full of stuff.” She didn’t know what he liked to drink or eat, BUT she didn’t want to leave it empty. You’re welcome!
