Random Fangbone! stuff I think about. Feel free to ask me to elaborate on anything. (Part 2/???????)

Cid/Patty/Borb love triangle. End game would definitely be Cid/Patty but Borb and Cid have a fun dynamic.

Bill trapped in a time loop on the day before Fangbone is set to return to Skullbania and almost desperately tries to get out of the time loop while simultaneously not wanting Fangbone to leave. He’s mentioned he’s stuck in a time loop and Fangbone(he is not experiencing the time loop), confused, tries to help him to no success. Turns out it was Bill’s wizard powers that made the loop because he wish the day would never end or something.

Fangbone trapped in a time loop the day before he is supposed to return to Skullbania. Tries to get out and grows increasingly paranoid and cold towards people. Tries to get help from Bill who somewhat believes him(it takes a lot of loops for Fangbone to convince him right away about the time loops). Fangbone really wants to get out of this time loop. Feels like he’s caged. Seeing how weird and aggressive Fangbone became after yesterday(Bill is not experiencing the loop), Bill talks to him about taking a minute and enjoying the time he has to spend with him before he leaves for Skullbania and using these loops to do stuff he didn’t get the chance too. Turns out it’s Bill’s powers that are at fault. Fangbone feels alot of emotions. He doesn’t want to leave Bill but he also wants to go back home to Skullbania. He noticeably gets very very stressed about it.

(Really both time loop scenarios are filled with complex emotions and characters analysis that I’m not sure I’m truly capable of explaining)

Thinking about the same funny situations and how Fangbone and Bill would each react to them separately and how Bill and Fangbone would react to them reacting. So like if something happened to Bill and Fangbone then drops that Skullbanian wisdom or something happened to Fangbone and Bill pulls out that Earth wisdom but for the same situation. For example, someone kissing on tv and Bill covers Fangbone’s eyes or Fangbone covers Bill’s eyes instead. Another example is the time loop situation mentioned above. (I hope this makes sense. It’s 3 am for me right now.)

Thinking about the show and Bill’s character development. It’s believable to me that Bill would do something to make Fangbone stay on Earth forever with him if he didn’t end up inevitably feeling guilty about it. Like my guy will do what he has to do and lie about stuff.

Seems like Grom is something of a trickster and how that can relate back to the Shadowsteppers.

Some Skullbania/Earth Prom stuff: Specifically Borb having a nice suit that Fred Bone helped him pick. Cid wearing a nice dress or suit. Will chooses not to put on a fancy suit despite Fred Bone insisting that he does. Toofbreaker putting on a Tie but still has his usual outfit on. Patty, Stacy, and Fred Bone being on the Prom Committee.

Fangbone getting a Nokia phone.

Thinking constantly about if this is canon compliant or if it’s in this character to do this action. (Lowkey gets me stressed)

Cid being a she/they nonbinary person who got top surgery. (Inspired by how my favorite artist portrays Luz from the Owl House)

Borb and Toofbreaker having a crush on Patty. Borb more so than Toofbreaker.

Fred Bone having a legitimate social life that the other members of the quartet are always surprised by it even though he’s told them multiple times.

Borb- he becomes a wizard. He has the orange hair and is a mix of Drool and Bill, who were both wizards, so double whammy. 

Fred Bone- makes money off his art. 

Borb and Will hanging out in complete silence. Borb is just laying on the couch playing on a Switch or another handheld gaming console and Will is laying on the other side watching a show. Occasionally they say something like “did you see that crap?” But otherwise they don’t speak because they’ll get upset and try to fight each other.

Selena being more into survival wilderness and possibly trans.

In terms of the copycat Fangbone and Bill duos, the easiest to think about are Fred Bone with Borb and Will with Toofbreaker.

Borb finds it easier to hangout with Fred Bone. Will is pretty chill with Toofbreaker for the most part.

Eddy and Patty being cousins.

Bill hiding his stuff in Cavebania.

Borb and Toofbreaker finding it hard to connect to each other as siblings. They feel estranged even when they are close. Like their days are numbered. Feeling like someone you used to know and like you don’t know them at all. Growing apart type feels.

Will having all of Bill’s memories and missing his mom knowing that she doesn’t know he exists and he won’t have her food again.

Will pretending to be Bill to sneak inside his house and lying to his mom saying he’s cosplaying. Borb doing the same thing but it works only on Halloween.

Cid, Fanbone and Bill have the most older sister-younger brother relationship, you can’t tell me otherwise:

•Bribes Cid to get her to take them to an R-Rated movie

•Cid has to spend the night afterwards because these two dummies got too spooked by the movie

•Bill’s mom thinks she’s their babysitter

•Gets dragged along with them for stuff because Bill’s mom pays her

•Has to watch them inside the mall, and they all get suckered into spending their cash on phony arcade game, and she rigs it to win

•Her and Fangbone have a ‘she’s touching me!’ ‘I’m not touching him’ relationship

•She has saved their asses one more than one occasion and vice versa

•Has spent the night @ their place, but mostly lives in Bill’s treehouse when she’s on earth

•The boys have no idea how when she’s on earth, but somehow she always manages to show up when Bill’s mom needs a babysitter

•She’d never admit it in a million years but she does care about them, and vice-versa like siblings

It’s 4 am and this is really rough, but I hope you like it anyway c: 

I even added in some Cid-Fangbone bonding since I know you like that.

“Bill!”

Said Bill nearly dislocates his shoulder as Fangbone yanks forward, ignoring his friend’s face-plant to instead passionately stab his finger towards the horizon. “You did not tell me your world had Skullbanian sea races!”

Bill, spitting the sand out of his mouth, props himself up on the one arm not currently in Fangbone’s grasp and follows his eyes, out to the vague outline of a woman being dragged behind a shiny crimson boat.

Well, it’s not that weird, he supposes – people race on water skis all the time, don’t they?

Cid, pulling herself from the shadows of the lifeguard’s stand, helps Bill to his feet. “It’s called water skiing,” he says as he peels Fangbone’s fingers off his wrist. “What’s it like in Skullbania?”

“Two mighty warriors compete to see who is the fastest,” He cries, spinning ‘round to rattle Bill by the shoulders, “while dragging the rest of their clan behind them!”

“With what?”

A quirked eyebrow. “With a rope between their teeth,” comes the response. “What else would they use?”

As he turns back to further assess his inspiration (who has by now fallen, much to her drunken friends’ delight), Bill looses a little sigh and says softly, affectionately, “I don’t know why I’m surprised by him anymore.”

“I dunno why you are either,” Cid quips back. She leans herself against Bill’s bare shoulder, the brim of her wide sunhat knocking against him as she adds, “Aaand he’s already gone.”

Bill glances back at the empty air where Fangbone used to be -- at the trail of tracks cutting across the sands, their creator already lost in the forest of tents and identical tri-colored umbrellas.

“Think he’ll forget we need boards?” he asks.

“Barbarians probably think it’s beneath them to use anything other than the heads of sea dragons or whatever.”

Bill has to entertain the possibility – after all, weren’t Fangbone’s chest and cheeks now donned in whorls of violet paint, still convinced that Skullbania’s love of beaches (“All the better for feeding one’s enemies to krakens and thundersnakes!”) matched with Earth’s? Had it not taken at least half an hour to convince him that sunburns were not simply tests by Grom to be endured?

“Wonder how long it’ll take him to notice Earth’s distinct lack of sea dragons?”

“He’ll substitute ‘em with sharks.”

“That is true.”

But a few minutes later, Fangbone returns, bearing – to Bill’s wide-eyed amazement – merely two surfboards, one under each arm, and a long stretch of rope already clasped tie between his teeth.

Bill is about to ask where he acquired them when a cry goes up in the distant, barely audile above the crashing waves of life and the gentle sea.

Grabbing Fangbone’s arm, then, Bill tries to pull him towards the ocean, footsteps heavy in the thick piles of sand – but Fangbone pulls him back.

Cid raises an eyebrow as the barbarian boy spits out the rope, letting it drape across his clavicle like a necklace.

Raises it higher still as she fully assesses the picture and realizes that long strip of yellow is behind held out to her.

“Are you not coming with us, Cid?” Fangbone asks. “I acquired a board of surf for you as well.”

“I thought you said you were supposed to pull your clan behind you?”

Fangbone tosses a board towards her, Cid narrowly escaping a broken nose as she jumps back and catches it against her frame.

“You are not Mighty Lizard Clan,” Fangbone says. “That is true. However, by participating in the defeat of Drool, you are now Mighty Lizard Clan…adjacent, shall we say?”

“For a second, I was worried you were gonna say “in spirit.”” Cid raises the board above her head, flashing a smile that still manages to glint, even under all those shadows. “Because I was about to really hurt your feelings.”

Instead, she interrupts his lecture about the mere three emotions Barbarians possess with a cry of “Last one in sucks rotten eggs!” and flurry of movement – more shoving, more playful shouts going up as she and Bill half-drag, half-are-dragged-by their remaining friend into that cool cerulean.
