"Spring has officially sprung!" Sloane leans on the counter that holds the register, drumming her fingers on the surface. She notices the polish chipping off one of her nails, and inwardly groans. "Which is like... so totally wonderful, because we've just gotten in our new seasonal drinks!" She pastes on the smile, but even she's annoying herself this morning. "We've got a jazzy little maple number with syrup straight from Vermont. The most divine strawberry matcha. Oh! And my personal favorite. A carmalized banana latte. It's beyond." Sloane blinks, eyes back on the customer. "What can I getcha'?"

For the open mic night, Nick brought a variety of instruments and tools. He first started with "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve, followed by "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers, both with his acoustic guitar and loop pedal. Following that, he pulled out the alto saxophone and did a rendition of Bruno Mars' "Versace On The Floor." He went back to singing with his fourth song, "Glimpse of Us" by Joji, with the addition of his keyboard. To round off the set, he went back to the classic guitar and performed "The Great Divide" by Noah Kahan.

He thought he did a good job, though he kept hearing one heckling voice throughout most of the set. Once the performance was finished, he hauled his instruments off to the backstage storage area and went looking for his friend who was supposed to be recording his set. "Hey, have you seen anyone with a camera?" he asked around.

Now that the weather was heating up, Jason couldn't wait to skate around town again. As he was skating to get something to eat, he noticed someone stepping into his path. "Hey watch out!" he called as he swerved to avoid hitting them. Jason came to a quick stop, kicking up his board. He pulled out his airpods as he spoke to the person. "You good?"

"And so I'm just sitting there, right, just sitting there, minding my own business, working on some bookkeeping when all of a sudden she's going off. And so I stop and look up at the TV and she's going on and on and on and on, not letting him talk at all. And she's got the audacity to tell him, as soon as he starts to speak... get this... are you ready? Can I get a word in? Like, man, you haven't stopped talking once!" He shook his head. Somehow, someway, Lucas had gotten caught up watching the newest season of Married At First Sight (the Australian version) and was sucked in immediately. While he wasn't normally a drama-reality tv show kinda guy, it seemed. recently dating shows were his kryptonite.

"Don't worry honey, I'm allowed to smoke here, you don't have to weigh a moral quandary." Piper said, blowing cigarette smoke out in a long stream. She wasn't an asshole, she could go outside to smoke so she wouldn't bother other people. The cool night air ruffled her hair, down from the chignon she'd had it in earlier that day. Inside, she'd order a martini, though the quality was less than what Piper preferred. But for all it's charms, Cider Point didn't exactly have a high class lounge.

Wes was on his lunch break, and ordinarily he only had time to drive-thru somewhere before making the trip back for the rest of his shift. Today he had extra classes in the evening, which meant he got an extra long lunch. Craving a greasy burger and fries, there was no hesitation that Shirley's was the best place for it. Wes plopped himself down onto one of the bar stools at the counter and smiled politely as he placed his order, even springing for a real soda instead of the diet stuff. When the food arrived he hadn't realized his dumb-ass ordered an extra side of fries, forgetting that the burger already came with them. He could pack in a lot of food but not that much. "You want these fries?" He offered to the person on the stool beside him, pushing the plate in their direction. "I swear I didn't even touch them. I'm just dumb and ordered way too many."
