Having hailed from the DC-metropolitan area, I'm no stranger to @anxotruxton and the beautiful beers, Basque ciders, and shareable pintxos ...🌶 [ANXO being dubbed one of @wineenthusiast’s 100 Best Restaurants] offered there! While it had been a few years since my last visit to @anxocider --- having admittedly dreamed of their Iberian pours each day since ...💭 --- I recently had the opportunity to pore over a handful of their now-packaged, stunningly-pouring (Rojo per instance, is the richest shade of cranberry I've ever observed in a cider...) brands, and fell in love with Time and Place (6.9% ABV). Beautifully dry with an exquisite bouquet, this oak cask-fermented cider, crafted from Winchester, Virginia-grown @glaizeapples ...🍎 is nuanced and smooth and just plain drinkable ...🤤 Whereas one of my favorite things about cider is its versatility and ability to be paired with foods, Time and Place specifically, begged for a selection of breads and cheeses ...🧀 and we happily sipped it alongside slices of warm, stone-baked Neo-Tuscan Boule ...🥖 and cuts of Sartori MontAmore and Jeff's Select gouda. So grateful to @anxocoop for the reintroduction, and imploring all who find themselves in DC to stop by #anxocider and take advantage of their stellar liquid and cuisine.
