Stepping out of her bedroom, Poppy wiped quickly at her eyes just to make certain that all the tears were gone. It hadn’t been a big deal or anything, just her hormones acting up and making her emotional over all the people that had cared enough to come today, but she had still wanted to step away so no one had to see her lose her composure like that. After all, she was supposed to be the hostess and one of the cooks, and no one wanted to see someone throwing the party cry. As she made her way back into the kitchen, she passed through the living room and saw the door swing open with the latest guest. “Welcome!” she greeted, waving her arms to the person to invite them further inside. “Come on in. We have some of the food already out and ready, already but we’re still working on some of the big stuff so just bare with us!”
