Ok but why is no one actually talking about the fact that Kai x Cinder actually has potential?
Like, potential as a toxic ship that can tell a good story
It’s kinda like Ras x Lloyd, but also very different, I’ll do my best to explain
I’ve noticed while actually paying attention to Cinder’s behavior, he kinda acts a bit like Kai in a weird way
Like, Cinder is what I imagine Kai would be like if he was an evil loser asshole
I like the idea of Cinder being frustrated by losing to Kai and constantly picking fights with him to try and beat him (and never winning) and at some point figuring out that their both actually Kinda similar and wanting Kai to switch sides (and catching feelings)
And when Kai refuses, it becomes a whole song and dance of Cinder badly flirting and saying how cool it is being evil, meanwhile Kai is annoyed and done with his BS
Like, I’ve seen some people portray them as Kai flirting and Cinder being dismissive, but it would be way more interesting and funny the other way around, with Kai just being followed around by this loser trying to make him join his emo band
Honestly it’s a CRIME that this ship only has 3 fics on AO3, they actually have potential and no one is talking about it
