INTRO

Hello world and welcome to my Tumblr blog! I go by "Sleepy" on the internet (please ask me from five years ago why she thought of that specific name,) and I am someone who is definitely too embroiled in Ninjago for her own good.

I'm a person who hyper-fixates on so much so intensely that it becomes a problem. If you and I happen to be obsessed with the same thing at the same time, we'll probably be fast friends.

I like to draw and write, though my writing (at least the stories that I post) is pretty much solely confined to AO3. I use Tumblr to post art of my latest hyper-fixations, sometimes to write opinions, headcanons, or reviews, and a plethora of other things, but still mostly art.

I also have a Redbubble shop with a few Ninjago themed designs.

My Ninjago Ships ✶ : See here because there's a lot.

Favorite Ninjago Character (s) + Why ✶ :

Cole - He's been my favorite ninja since I started watching the show years and years ago. He's just a really likable character, and it helps that his focus season, Master of the Mountain, is my favorite season of the show! (I'm also an avid Geode shipper, so that probably contributes now as well.)

Lloyd - It's hard for me to articulate why exactly I love Lloyd so much. I think I just connect with him for a lot of personal and confusing reasons. He used to be one of my least favorite characters, actually, but I've since come around on him, especially after the release of Dragons Rising.

Kai - Ok, I don't really know the fandom's general opinion of Kai, but he's one of my favorite characters in Dragon's Rising. Before DR's release, I would have actually put him near the bottom of my ninja ranking, but I really like this current iteration of Kai. ALSO Monstrosity is so damn cool.

Favorite Ninjago Season ✶ : As I mentioned above my favorite Ninjago season is definitely Master of The Mountain, and it has been since the season released. I do really enjoy Tournament of Elements and Dragon's Rising S2 as well, though I wouldn't say either are particularly close to Master of The Mountain in my personal ranking.

Favorite Ninjago Villain ✶ : Probably Master Chen? But honestly I find that the villains never really stick with me as much as the main ninja and side-cast do. I would actually say that due to personal bias, Cinder might honestly be my favorite villain. (This is setting aside ALL objective categories, because as a character, he's kind of a nothing-burger.)

My Ninjago Ships

GEAR UP because there are a lot. To keep this quick, I'll just go through MY PERSONAL top Ninjago ships for each main ninja. (For a select few I put multiple because I really, really struggled picking just one. And there's a lot I left out, so that's probably not a very good sign for me.)

Lloyd: Greenflower (Lloyd x Brad)

Greenflower - I'm not a big shipper of Lloyd with anyone in general, but I find Greenflower very cute and it's definitely been growing on me over the last few years.

Kai: Crossfire??? (Kai x Cinder) & Lava (Cole x Kai)

Crossfire - (I did a quick google search so I'm unsure if that's the official fandom name.) IT'S STUPID BUT I GENUINELY SHIP THIS. I don't even know why to be honest. Like, it makes not a lot of sense story-wise, but I can just see it you know? I have made up so many head-canons about these two it's crazy. (I don't know if people want to hear them, but if anyone has interest, let me know.)

Lava - Before DR I was a hardcore Lava shipper. My investment in the pairing has since died down significantly, but I still like it and I find myself thinking about it on occasion. (Why I jumped from a really popular ship with a lot of canon content and evidence to a ship I'm not even sure has an official name, I couldn't tell you.)

Cole: Geode (Geo x Cole) & Lava (Cole x Kai)

Geode - I saw the vision the moment I watched "The Land of Lost Things" in DR S1. They were so damn domestic and I was grinning and kicking my feet the whole episode! Geode is so subtly (yet somehow obviously) hinted out throughout the story, and even if it can't be canon now, I have hopes that one day it will be in the future. (Then I can finally say that I hardcore ship a canon ship!)

Lava - See above.

Nya: Jaya (Jay x Nya)

Jaya- It's the classic ship and it's amazing for it. I don't have many opinions on Jaya, mostly because I've never been too invested in their relationship, but I do have a lot of issues with how it was written during the early seasons... Evidently I don't let those effect my opinions too much though.

Jay: Jaya (Jay x Nya)

Jaya - Once again, see above.

Zane: Pixane (Pixal x Zane)

Pixane - (Just learned that ship name and... I think I like it? The name I mean. I'm currently unsure.) I think it's really cute and, unlike a lot of canon ships, I actually found myself rooting for them throughout the show! Again, I don't have that many thoughts about it, but I like it!

Pixal: Pixane (Pixal x Zane)

Pixane - ONCE AGAIN AGAIN, see above.

Frak: Techtonic (Sora x Frak)

Techtonic - Okay, at first I kind of found Frak's crush on Sora annoying, but now I think it actually has the potential to be really really cute. I find their banter at the beginning of DR S3 really fun, and their interactions in general. I'm kind of worried to see what story decisions are going to be made with Frak and Sora's characters if it becomes canon, but that's a bridge we can cross when we get to it.

Sora: Techtonic (Sora x Frak)

Techtonic- ONCE AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN, SEE ABOVE.

Wyldfyre: Robyfyre??? I guess??? (Roby x Wyldfyre)

Robyfyre: I don't really care for Robyfyre, but I suppose I ship it? Slightly? I find it a little cute I guess, but I'm really not invested at all.

Arin: I DON'T KNOW

Genuinely I don't ship Arin with anyone. I found him and Euphrasia a bit... strange, and I feel like I'm in the minority on that but it kind of seemed a bit rushed? I get it's supposed to be, like, love at 3rd sight or something, but it just isn't for me. Maybe it'll grow on me? I kind of like the idea of him having some sort of childhood crush on Frak but it makes not a lot of sense.

ARE THERE ANY SHIPS I MISSED? ANY SHIPS I'M UNAWARE OF? ARE MY TAKES HORRIBLE AND TOTALLY AGAINST FANDOM OPINIONS? Please let me know because I'm honestly completely unsure about any of these. (I guess except for the canon ones, which is a lot of them.)
