The trio, in technicolor! Once again, my inability to draw expressions comes to bite me in the ass. I reaaaaally hope their personalities show, but i doubt it lmao

The ffaw trio, but as gym leaders!

This was SO much fun to do, no matter how hard i wanted to die while drawing in this style haha. I'm obsessed with pokemon right now so I thought this was fitting! It was interesting seeing how different artists on the team shaded and colored, so i tried an amalgamation of it all basically. I mostly tried imitating Take's style with some tweaks.

So, here's a quick run down:

Ladybug:

She specialises in bug-type pokemon. I imagine her gym having a colorful and bright aesthetic, with round arenas for battling and seats for anyone hoping to watch. I can see it having a little cafe connecting to her parents bakery. It's probably in lumiose city, it's literally Paris.

As expected, Ladybug's pokemon is Ledian! Her Ledian is basically tikki, but a little more prone to anger since it's a fighting type.

Her other pokemon are Butterfree, Ribombee, and Kricketot.

She started battling and training to become a gym leader to help her parents' keep their bakery open, but eventually fell in love with it.

People come for battle, but stay for macaroons :)

Chat Noir:

He specialises in dark type pokemon, though he does have a fondness for water types as well.

His gym is situated somewhere downtown in a city. It's pretty big, and has a very skate park-esque feel with all the graffiti everywhere. I can see it having been an indoor skatepark that he renovated.

His main is a little Purrloin! He has an older Liepard, but he found the little guy gorging on some cheese he decided to take it in. Yes this Purrloin is Plagg :3

The rest of chat's team includes Xoroark, Absol, and Theivul. All in all a pretty scary team, but don't let it fool you they all caught his eye because of their fur

He always dreamt of training pokemon and making friends with them, but his parents never allowed him to interact with any other than the furfrou's family friends brought along.

Strangely though, after he finally got the chance to interact with pokemon, he found himself understanding them on a deeply emotional level... almost like they where speaking to him.

'Oh well, I'm sure it's nothing. Come on Zoroark we've got training to do!'

No use lingering on such silly thoughts, right?

Cigognelle:

For my darling daughter, she very obviously is a flying-type gym leader.

Despite how she likes to think, she's her mother's daughter and those high standards got passed down. All the battlers in her gym are top notch, only the best of the best. It all kinda backfired on her, since barely any trainers end up reaching her now. Poor girl is bored out of her mind lol

This gave her a sorta scary reputation, much like chat.

Her gym is outdoors, so that there's enough room for her pokemon to fly around. It's like a large patio, with a wooden roof for pokemon to perch.

Her partner is a Bombirdier, of course. He's a wise old thing, and prefers to sit back and watch battles rather than fight them.

The rest of her team includes Swanna, Altaria, and Articuno.

She likes to make sure her gym is always clean and pretty, her favorite pass time is taking photos of pokemon!
