@ciinereo approached the hunter ;;
Annabelle had been watching the stranger with some interest. He wore an armored garb, not that of the Church nor any other of the squabbling factions she’d seen in the few safe corners of Yharnam’s burning corpse. She crept across the rooftops, careful not to get too close. The few times he had looked upward, she was gone.
It wasn’t out of sense of danger or playful hunting that she followed so carefully. It was a curiosity. She wanted to see what he’d do. More importantly, she wanted to know how he got into the city. A way in meant a way out.
She jumped down from the rooftop, careful not to make a sound. But as she turned down a narrow alleyway she’d seen the man disappear through, she came face to face with him.
“Oh,” was all she could manage for a moment, mouth parted in surprise. “Well, hello there.” She braced herself for a bite of steel she was certain would come. Foolish. She should have known better than to follow so boldly behind.
