It captures her character perfectly in a modern setting, not to mention it’s comical, treats her as a character (for instance, she was actually written as a human being while retaining the most important aspects of her character) well-written and the overall premise is extremely cute. To be fair, I yearn for more stories where Cia is written as a rounded character rather than being made out to be more one-dimensional, given that her character deserved a lot better.Love by Cormag_RavenstaffPairing: Cia/LinkTakes place in alternative universe where Cia was actually captured and imprisoned. The fic perfectly captures her feelings, her desires, in short, what made her an anti-villain. It implores us from her point of view how despite being manipulated (Ganondorf managed to convince her to get what her heart rightfully desires aka his way of using her like he does with the rest of his henchmen) she genuinely believed her actions to be good and knew there were obstacles keeping her away from her goal, hence starting a war. She tried to get rid of the Hyrulean forces from stopping her from achieving her goal because her strong sense of self believes she was in the right. The story captures her regrets as she comes to term with how painful love truly is along with a surprise at the end. And of course, this fic made her fairly rounded as well while portraying her as a tragic anti-villain.The Fates of Time by MitchMyestarPairing: Link/LanaTakes place after the Wii U version as Link and Lana have to go after Vaati as he obtained Majora’s Mask. Probably the best Link/Lana fic I have read so far as the relationship slowly but surely builds up. It allows for the two to realize that fate may not always be what it seems, plus I feel it captures that Cia (when she was one) over-analyzed the companionship (and the fact they’re bound by fate) between Link and Zelda. I heavily recommend this one especially if you’re a fan of Majora’s Mask, Vaati and or Zelda in general.The Heartsmith by LittleMissMidnightPairing: Link/LanaA cute AU based off this comic. Well written and quite an adorable take on the comic itself.Tampering with Fate by LittleMissMidnightPairing: Link/LanaHeels by OcarinaOraclePairing: Link/LanaAdorable, Modern AU oneshot about Link and Lana getting to go to the dance. Discusses their height difference as Lana is canonically shorter than Link.I hope this helps you. I narrowed it down to the fics that weren’t too heavily involved with angst or having their relationship being rather one-sided. While I could wish for more pairing fics, I truly wish for more fics of the two that aren’t angst. I would kill for any fic, gameverse or modern AU, of the two just hanging out as sisters.
