One of the biggest single-celled creatures. It is fixed to an alguae when it doesn't swim, and adopt a trumpet-like shape. It can contract itself (I've seen some of them completely vanish when they decide to contract behind an alguae). Its "mouth" is equipped with ring of cilia, which perform a speed rotational movement to aspire water and even your soul (you can clearly see this one absorbing a small organic detritus).

I personally call them : Trumpets of Apocalypse 😊

STUDIES ON DIVERSITY OF FREELIVING FRESH WATER PROTOZOA FROM ERODE REGION, TAMILNADU, INDIA | UTTAR PRADESH JOURNAL OF ZOOLOGY

The current findings must describe investigations on the diversity of free-living fresh water protozoa from the Erode region of Tamil Nadu. pH, salinity, temperature, calcium, nitrites, phosphate, and dissolved oxygen were among the physicochemical parameters studied. The pH was measured at 29°C, with a salinity of 0.2700 percent, calcium of 480 mg/liter, nitrates of 0.0408 mg/liter, and phosphate of -4.6956 mg/liter. The structural alteration resulted in the identification of 27 species. Two divisions were classified according to the taxonomic categorization. The phylum ciliophora has eight species of kinetofragminophorea. The phylum Saromsttigophora includes four species in this subphylum. have you tried the free art program fire alpaca? i used that until i got sai and photoshop and i find it's not all that different

You can think of these guys as protozoa, if you want.  They're protista (single celled organisms) with the kind of cell structure that makes them eukaryotes (like us) and not prokaryotes (like bacteria). But they're not plants, they're not animals, and they're not fungi.

These particular protista are interesting because (1) they have two nuclei (a macronucleus and a micronucleus) and (2) when they divide, only the micronucleus replicates, the big one has to be built from scratch each time. [Ref] _______________________________
