I REALLY LIKE IT. They could have swapped Ashley for Kaidan, but I don't really mind because I'm indifferent to both of them. And hey I'm sure some of us spared Ashley instead of Kaidan, right? Picking one over the other in ANY trailer excludes someone either way.
At first, I was pissed about them copy-pasting femshep into the male shep trailers but it shows equality. We're not trying to say femshep is better than manshep, we just want her to be equally represented. By no means has she been as represented in all of the promotion as manshep has but this is definitely a step in the right direction. Not only is this positive for us femshep fans, but its positive for females in the gaming industry in general.
Also, something about femshep just makes her version of the trailer a lot more BAMFy. Manshep looks a little more sullen in his version and even when it gets into the fight scenes its more like he's following orders rather than taking initiative. Femshep seems more like she's taking initiative and there seems to be more passion behind it. I can't really place what it is that I'm seeing but its definitely there.
