Repost from @brain_in_a_jar WHAT: Community Cleanup of Purgatoire River WHEN: DM @brain_in_a_jar for time/date/details Hi there my IG friends, I am a fairly new resident of Trinidad, CO, and I walk the town quite frequently because I don't have a vehicle. I often witness just how much human trash gets blown in by the wind, left behind by vagrants, falls out of cars and trucks, and just mindlessly is tossed from people's hands. It is overwhelming to notice all the trash and feel helpless to clean it all up alone-although I have the conviction; I just am not physically capable to take that on. I have been thinking the past week or two about getting some locals together to go clean up the riverside which is covered in trash right now. Help me #keeptrinidadbeautiful by coming together a few days out of each month to clean up trash alongside the Purgatoire River and surrounding areas. Message me to discuss details!!Anyone and everyone is welcome, any help is appreciated! Just one person can make a difference. Come out, enjoy the sunshine, and get to know some other Trinidadians who care just as much about our Natural World as you do. While we're cleaning up we will notice a trend—a plastic one—maybe we can also discuss how we can each reduce our use of the harmful plastics and disposables which litter our oceans and rivers. What can we give up today to set the stage for a better tomorrow? #purgatoireriver #trinidadcolorado #cleanup #community #reduce #reuse #recycle #leavenotrace #southerncolorado #fisherspeak #ciminopark #newlegendsmagazine #newlegendsmag @newlegendsmag (at Trinidad, Colorado)
